Hi there! Thanks for stopping by. I’m Aaron Dowd, a professional drummer, audio & video engineer, and marketing specialist from Fort Worth, Texas.
When I was 12, I decided I was going to be the drummer in a rock band. But I got curious about recording and marketing and design, so I started studying and in the process I fell in love with podcasting and audio production (back in 2010 or so), which led to a few years of helping people start and grow business, tech, and educational podcasts.
After building up a unique skill set in editing, post-production, and marketing for audio podcasts, I moved into helping a few startup teams build technology for podcasters. I worked at Simplecast, Podcorn, & Chartable, and eventually at Megaphone and Spotify.
These days, I’m still playing drums and helping manage Kolton Moore & the Clever Few. (an Americana Rock band I helped start in 2012), and exploring new techniques in marketing and audience growth strategies. I’m also deep into learning video production for the social media / TikTok era and how those strategies can be adopted by creators at all levels.
