💻 Work

My lifelong passion for music and technology drove me to develop skills and expertise in a variety of different fields, including: web & graphic design, audio engineering, photography & video production, social media marketing, product management, and more.

My focus stays on helping creators and creative professionals overcome roadblocks, build valuable products, grow their fan bases, and achieve their goals.

Since 2010, I’ve been fortunate enough to work on a variety of exciting projects with some incredible people & teams. Some of the highlights include:

Kolton Moore & the Clever Few (2012 - Present)

I’m a founding member of the acclaimed Texas Americana band Kolton Moore & the Clever Few, where I wear many different hats: Playing drums, managing our websites and social media accounts, managing merchandise inventory and fulfilling online orders, designing album covers, posters and flyers, contributing to photography and audio/video production as needed, and so much more.

Since 2012, our band has released 6 studio albums and built a worldwide audience of 600k monthly listeners with more than 300 million total streams across streaming platforms. We’ve playing hundreds of high-intensity live shows and survived multiple cross-country tours through teamwork, perseverance, and a lot of good luck.

Podcast Production, Post-Production, & Consulting (2012 - Present)

I helped dozens of creative professionals and businesses with their podcasts under the moniker “The Podcast Dude” between 2012 and 2018.

I started teaching myself audio engineering back in 2010. At the time, I wanted to record and produce music for the bands I was playing with. Since then, I’ve worked with dozens of professional podcasters as an editor, producer and consultant, helping many shows find a home at the top of the podcast charts. Between production and editing, I’ve helped finish and publish more than 1000 episodes.

In 2016 & 2017, I wrote and published an online course about podcasting (called Successful Podcasting), and another one about podcasting with Logic Pro. Sadly the platform they were published on no longer exists, but I’ve been kicking around the idea of recreating the courses in some form. A project for another day, perhaps.

Tech Startups - Simplecast, Podcast, & Chartable (2018-2025)

Simplecast - Podcast Hosting & Analytics Platform (2018 - 2020)

I was employee number 5 at podcast hosting startup Simplecast from 2018 to 2020, where I helped support thousands of podcasters of all sizes and wrote dozens of help articles and resources. Simplecast was acquired by SiriusXM in early 2020.

Podcorn - Podcast Advertising Marketplace (2020)

After 6 years of working from home, I was ready to go back to working with people in an office, so I joined Podcorn in February 2020 and moved to central Hollywood in Los Angeles to work as their Head of Community & User Experience. Unfortunately for me, Covid 19 had other plans for that year, and I ended up working from home for a few months before moving back to Texas in July. I owned their customer support and help center functions, and managed community outreach and customer feedback for the product and engineering teams before joining Chartable in October 2020. I'm still grateful for the experience, but I wonder how things might have turned out differently if I had moved even a year or two earlier or later... I guess we'll never know.

Chartable - Podcast Analytics & Attribution Startup (2020 - 2025)

I joined podcast analytics and attribution startup Chartable in late 2020 to help manage support for their entire customer base, and eventually led the customer support and account management team, supporting thousands of professional and hundreds of enterprise podcasters, solving problems and answering complex questions while also helping the product and engineering teams improve multiple aspects of the platform and its products. It was a challenging role but ultimately the best team and company I’ve ever been a part of.

Chartable was acquired by Spotify in 2022, and I continued to support customers and Chartable’s product and engineering teams until the platform was mostly deprecated in early 2025. Spotify and I parted ways shortly after Chartable’s deprecation and I’ve been working on building up my video production and social media marketing skills since.
